2010 TL on 2012 MDX Advance 19" Wheels [TEST FIT]

Got my hands on these gorgeous MDX Advance 19" wheels (19x8.5 +45 5x120 @ 28.8lb) and couldn't resist trying them on the TL.

I currently have them for sale over on the black market since i'm waiting on 20" work wheels to be delivered.

Please ignore the lack of sideskirts and dirty car, she's currently "in-progress" until it gets a bit warmer out. These pics were merely for fitment/curiosity purposes

Overall i think the additional width and more aggressive offset over the optional 19's (19x8.5 +45 vs 19x8 +55) really compliments the car, along with the concavity of the spokes. I think they'd look really sharp in black as well - in the side profile shot they have that OEM-look that makes them appear massive, over say most other aftermarket 19's.

^^ thanks!!

Seriously considering holding onto these until the work wheels arrive and i've got a better basis for comparison - this is uncharted territory for me in 19 and 20" diameters.

Have yet to decide on the new tires (no "real" photos until that happens) but here's a quick teaser on the skinny 235/35's

I love those wheels! I'm a sucker for 10 spokes and those are sweet! I forget the other member that had them (believe it was on a WDP) but they looked badass on his car as well.

This is just my opinion, so no disrespect intended but the MDX wheels looks better than these after market wheels in my opinion, but then again, I am in my early 40's and more on the conservative side

^^ no worries at all, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I really liked the MDX wheels but had a "thing" for owning my first set of 20's so decided to go a little further.

As for the offset/size/width of the new wheels i feel it is plenty aggressive since i have made the conscious decision NOT to lower the car - i had to find something that would compliment the OEM ride height and i think they worked out really well.

Stay tuned for a full build thread once i get the proper sized tires on her

They're even better in person right?

I still can't get over how detailed the design is. Mine aren't staggered by the way, 8.5 all around but they appear staggered since the fronts are r-disks (to allow potential brake clearance) and rears are o-disks (more of a lip)

Man thats the offset they needa come with stock... I have no idea who came up with the 4G oem wheel fitment but it wasn't the same guy who did the 3g thats for sure... For a semi stock option I dig it... heck of an alternative... is there a shot down the side of the car to show lip vs fenders?

They going to look funny when you rotate the wheels with the lip difference.
Yes, they look damn good in person.

If he gets directional tires then there's no rotating. Otherwise he can at least switch sides.

Agree.

If the fronts wear out, replace the two front tires. If the rears wear out, replace the two rear tires.

chroms

That looks real sharp!

I just purchased a brand new awd 13' TL and some lady ran in to it
but it's getting fixed at Acura right now. They agreed on swapping me 19' chrome MDX rims for my 18' tech rims for some reason. Anyway I'll post pics once I get it back. Shouldn't be more than a few days.
